The Sounds of Silence, for those of you who don't know refers to the sounds of the evening and to the music created by nature. I wrote a song about and several poems and I just had to put it on here.
My username is part of another poem I wrote about an old man looking back on his life...
Fine frozen shadows of yesterday's trials
Road stained with tears across all the miles
Love seems so distant, fate so near
As the end of all things becomes so clear
Voices screaming of lives and loves lost
They call through the ages and count up the cost
Is life really worth all the terror and strife?
Only if you truely live during your life!
Look back at your life at the joy and the grief
For soon shadows fall on you, bringing relief
Live today as though it were the last time you'd love
As if every second is a gift from above
Then when silence falls and memories spin through your mind
A final and definite peace you will find.
And always remember through joy and through pain
That some day you'll return home again
......The Fine frozen shadows are memories for anyone that has difficulty translating poetry. I wrote this in English class while Mr.Howard was bantering about something or other, probably about some story we were supposed to be reading, but I'm not sure. |
